Terms and Conditions of Service
By accessing and using LiveTranslationApp (the “Service”), you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). LiveTranslationApp is offered by CET Ltd ( “we” or “us”) with correspondence address at 20, Guze Ellul Mercer Street, Iklin, Malta. We reserve the right to update and change these Terms and Conditions without notice. If you violate any of the terms below may result in the termination of your service.
A. Definitions
We have taken a number of steps to comply with the GDPR. For more details about our compliance and how we handle your data please check our latest legal documents below:
- 'Speaker' is a subscriber to the Service, who has an active subscription for the term established in the sign up form.
- 'Speaker Code' is an alphanumerical code generated by each individual subscription, which enables the Speaker to create an Event hosted on the Service.
- 'Listener Code' is an alphanumerical code to join an event hosted on the Service as the listener.
- 'LiveTranslationApp Crowd' are the number of people allowed to listen at the same time for an Event, which are currently limited to fifty (50) listeners.
- 'Event' refers to a virtual space hosted by the Service, providing a single stream where persons who join with a Listener Code can listen to an audio transmission, and the person who oined with a Speaker Code can live broadcast the associated stream.
B. Signing Up
- Upon signing up, the Speaker must provide your full name, a valid email address, and any other information requested in order to complete the signup process. You may only sign up for the Service if you are over 18. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
- As a Speaker subscribing to the Service, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. We encourage you to use “strong” passwords (passwords that use a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols) with your account. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
- By connecting to the Service with a third-party service, you give Us permission to access and use your information from that service as permitted by that service, and to store your login credentials and other data received from that service.
- By providing your email address you consent to receive service related notices, including any notices required by law, instead of communication by post.
- As a Speaker, you are responsible for all audio content streamed under your account (even when audio content is streamed by others who have gained access to the speaker code registered under your account) to your LiveTranslationApp Crowd. You may not use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to the laws relating to organized tours and those of copyright).
C. Payment
- All Service fees are inclusive of VAT. All Service fees shall be paid upfront on a monthly or yearly basis, depending on your subscription. Payments will be made with your credit card, through the website.
- If you're unhappy with LiveTranslationApp for any reason, please contact our service team.
D. Duration and Termination
- Your subscription will be automatically renewed at the end of your pre-paid period. The Service fees will be charged on your card, upon renewal. You may cancel your renewal at any time by clicking the link provided in the Speaker profile.
- If you cancel your current subscription, it will stay active until the end of the paid up subscription period. If you cancel the Service (delete your account) before the end of your current paid up subscription period, your cancellation will take effect immediately, and you will not be charged again. But there will not be any refunds of unused period.
- We, at our sole discretion, have the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Service for any reason at any time. Such termination of Service will result in the deletion of your account.
- We further reserve the right to suspend or terminate the Service (i) if the network breaks down; (ii) in case of Service maintenance; (iii) if you breach these Terms and Conditions; (iv) you have or may be committing, any fraud against us or against any other person or organisation by using the Service; (v) we have reason to believe that you have provided us with false, inaccurate or misleading information for the purpose of obtaining the Service; (vi) we are required to comply with an order, request or decision by any governmental or enforcement body.
E. Modifications to the Service and Prices
- The Company reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any part of the Service with or without notice.
- Price of Service is subject to change upon 30 days' notice from us. Such notice may be provided at any time by posting the changes to the LiveTranslationApp site or the Service itself.
- The Company shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
- The listed prices include Maltese VAT (18%). The currency is Euro.
- The price has to be paid in advance with a credit card
F. Copyright and Content
- All content transmitted on the Service must comply with Maltese law.
- No content will be stored or recorded on the Service.
- We claim no intellectual property rights over the audio content you provide through the Service.
- We reserve the right (but not the obligation) in our sole discretion to suspend or terminate a subscription if there is reason to believe that the content transmitted was in breach of these Terms and Conditions, any party's intellectual property or the laws of Malta.

G. General Conditions
- You agree to use the Service according to these Terms and Conditions. The Service is provided in accordance with all data protection laws, and in order to use of the Service, you need to accept our Privacy Policy. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- The Service is accessed via mobile data or Wi-Fi networks. You are solely responsible for the payment of all such fees or charges to access such data or network. Due to the nature of the internet, including third party influences our control, LiveTranslationApp is offered on a best effort basis. We are not liable for any loss of Service, temporary or permanent, resulting from blackspots, interruption/loss of mobile data or Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Technical support is provided via email. You can request additional phone support via email, but this is not guaranteed on a 24/7 basis.
- We reserve the right to access your account for user support or in case of an abuse report investigation.
- You understand that we use third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run the Service.
- You must not modify, adapt or hack the Service.
- You must not modify another website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with the brand LiveTranslationApp, the Service or us.
- You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, without the express written permission by us.
- Verbal, physical, written or other abuse (including threats of abuse) of the Service , any of our employees or customers will result in immediate account termination.
- You understand that the technical processing and transmission of the Service, including your audio content, may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices.
- We do not warrant that (i) the Service will meet your specific requirements, (ii) the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, (iii) the results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable, (iv) the quality of the information, or other data obtained by you through the Service will meet your expectations, and (v) any errors in the Service will be corrected.
- You expressly understand and agree that we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if we had been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use the service; (ii) the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services; (iii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iv) statements or conduct of any third party on the service; (v) or any other matter relating to the Service.
- Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms and Conditions).
- Any new features that augment or enhance the current Service, including the release of new tools and resources, shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions. Continued use of the Service after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
Privacy Policy
A. Scope of Application
This privacy policy governs the processing of personal data acquired through the use of LiveTranslationApp service. In order to use LiveTranslationApp, you must accept this privacy policy.
The processing of personal data by the controller CET Ltd is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) as well as the Data Protection Act (Chapter 586 Laws of Malta). By personal data we understand all information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person.

C. Features
We distinguish between two different users of the app; namely the "speaker" and the “listener”. The processing of your personal data depends primarily on whether you are a speaker or a listener.
The LiveTranslationApp app provides listeners (the “Listener”) with an audio stream during a particular live event. The person who organises such a live event (the “Speaker”) sets up the event and stream and invites listeners to join. The Listeners will receive a code (“Listener Code”) for the event in question. The Listener can use this code – as long as the Speaker makes it available – to participate in the live event.
D. Processing of the Speaker's Personal Data
If you use LiveTranslationApp as a Speaker, you'll find all the information about how LiveTranslationApp processes your personal data gathered below.
In order to make the app available to you (Art. 6 para 1(b) GDPR) and to be able to recognize, prevent, and investigate attacks on the app (Art. 6 para 1(f) GDPR), LiveTranslationApp uses the following personal data:
- The time and date the app is accessed
- The IP-address
We store this personal data for as long as it is necessary to provide the Service, or as long as it is necessary to pursue or defend legal claims or to fulfill legal retention obligations.
You must register to use the app as a Speaker. During registration and for sign up purposes, we process the following data to allow you to use the app (Art. 6 para. 1(b) GDPR):
- Name and encrypted password
- Email address
- Time and date of registration
We store this personal data as long as it is necessary for the provision of the Service, or as long as it is necessary to pursue or defend legal claims or fulfill legal retention obligations.
Audio transmission will be provided during the live event. If you are the Speaker, we will process the following personal data to enable transmission (Art. 6 para. 1(b) GDPR): Voice
E. Processing of the Listener's Personal Data
If you use LiveTranslationApp as a Listener, you'll find all the information about how LiveTranslationApp processes your personal data gathered below.
In order to make the app available to you (Art. 6 para 1(b) GDPR) and to be able to recognize, prevent, and investigate attacks on the app (Art. 6 para 1(f) GDPR), LiveTranslationApp processes the following personal data:
- Time and date you used the app
We store this personal data as long as it is necessary for the provision of the Service, or as long as it is necessary to prosecute or defend legal claims, or fulfill legal retention obligations.
F. Data Receiver
Data will not be shared with third parties.
G. Your Rights
You have the following rights in relation to LiveTranslationApp:
- The right of access under Art. 15 GDPR.
- The right to rectification under Art. 16 GDPR, the right to erasure under Art. 17 GDPR, and the right to restriction under Article 18 GDPR.
- The right of objection under Art. 21 GDPR.
- The right to data transferability under Art. 20 GDPR.

- If you have given your consent to the processing of personal data, you can withdraw it at any time. Please note that the withdrawal will only be effective in the future. Processing that took place before the withdrawal of consent is not affected.
